    Description

Astro HR-7510 Portable Uncompressed 4K SSD Recorder
Astro HR-7510 Portable Uncompressed 4K SSD Recorder
This recorder is in good physical condition, and powers up. I was able to play back videos that were on the drive when I received it, and manipulate the speed and direction, pausing at a desired frame. I could navigate the menu, set the time and date, and set other parameters. Since I don’t have a Canon C500, I cannot test the record function. The two user keys are unused. The video FPGA version is 1.32, CPU FPGA version is 1.04, FW version is 1.70, and SSD System version is 2.2 / -.
The unit comes with one SSD pack, model FD-7510-1 (1.25 TB).
The HR-7510 from Astro Design Inc. is a portable uncompressed 4K SSD recorder that supports up to 4K resolution at 60p over 3G-SDI inputs. It also supports all formats from the Canon C500, including 4K RAW, half-size RAW, 2K RGB 4:4:4 12/10-bit, and 2K YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit. Footage can be monitored and played back on a built-in 3.5" LCD, or on an external display via the two HD-SDI outputs. When working with Canon RAW, the footage is debayered to RGB or YUV for externally monitoring, with the output color viewable in the original Canon Log, or with Rec.709, WideDR, or Cineon display LUTs. Additional features include embedded time code support, camera/lens metadata capturing, and a SAS interface for transferring your data.
Note: Requires Astro Design SSD Packs, available in 320GB and 1.3TB pairs.
    Frequently asked questions
    How are you?
About the same, thanks for asking.
So what's included in your listing?
Everything you see in the pictures and nothing you don't.
    Anything else?
    I'll throw in a box.
    Oh, a smart guy, eh?
In case that's not rhetorical: I'm no expert, and I'm certainly not smart enough to know about everything that passes my way. I do my best to evaluate the things I sell, but often defer to the superior knowledge of the prospective buyer.
    Will you ever learn?
    Probably not.
What if the item I buy from you doesn't work?
You have 30 days from receipt to return it for a refund if it doesn't do as I describe.
What if I don't like the color?
    Then you have 14 days.
If I tell you how crappy and obsolete your item is in a condescending enough tone, will you do me the favor of selling it to me for a fraction of your asking price?
    No.
Can I pick up my winnings in person?
I don't know you well enough to know your capabilities.
    OK, may I?
    Certainly!
    Did I forget anything?
What am I, a mind reader?
Will you discuss these imaginary conversations with your psychiatrist?
The conversations are quite real, it's you who are imaginary.
    You just blew my mind.
