original vintage concert program produced for
Sidney Bechet’s
1952/53 nationwide tour of France accompanied by French clarinetist Claude Luter and his orchestra. The program has been authentically signed by the legendary soprano saxophonist on the front together with various members of Luter’s orchestra. The signatures are difficult to decipher, but I believe bassist Roland Bianchini and saxophonist Hubert Rostaing are among them. Claude Luter has signed inside the program.
In original pictorial uncoated wrappers, single staple bound, 16.8 x 21.1 cm, 8 pp. All text in French. The wrappers are faded by time and there are a few annotation in blue ink inside.
