Here is a  Used ANODIZED RED  3" Wood Lathe Face Plate THAT IS Threaded and made from Aluminum.
Looking at the threads they descend to the right.  BE SURE YOU CAN DEAL WITH THE SIZE AND THREAD DIRECTION.
